The official Tekken Facebook page put up an illustration of an early design for a new character to be put in Tekken 7. The character is Arabian and looks like he could fit nicely in an Assassin’s Creed game.
Tekken director Katsuhiro Harada did note the character list for Tekken 7 has not been finalized yet. He just wanted to show the fans what an Arabian character would look like. He is interested to hear what Middle Eastern gamers think of the design. He wants to make sure every character in the game is represented properly. The last thing he wants to do is offend anyone with a stereotypical portrayal of a character of a specific race.
Harada said they’ve been contemplating adding an Arabian character to the Tekken series since 2008. The team have visited countries such as Dubai and Saudi Arabia to research the culture. He wants to make sure the character is received well by the Middle Eastern community. If not, the character might be changed or sadly dropped entirely. Either way, the team is looking to add more characters from different countries in Tekken 7.
Tekken 7 is expected for release sometime next year. The only returning characters announced so far have been Kazuya and Heihachi Mishima.

Tekken 7 will keep the tradition of the series by adding secret and unlockable fighters for you to obtain.
Tekken 7′s director Katsuhiro Harada confirmed this on twitter in response to a fan’s question. He said “we’ve unlock(able) or secret characters”. Several previous games in the Tekken series did this as well. Normally half of the game’s roster is locked and you need to beat the Arcade or Story mode with different characters to unlock them all.
2012′s Tekken Tag Tournament 2 was different however as every fighter was available from the beginning. The only thing you needed to unlock were the ending movies and clothing items to use in the customization mode. It appears Tekken 7 will be like the main games of the series where you need to earn the right to unlock more fighters. This isn’t a bad thing as it can be quite addictive trying to unlock every fighter and gives you more reason to play the game even more.
The only fighters revealed to be in Tekken 7 so far include Kazuya Mishima and Heihachi Mishima. The wife of Heihachi and Kazuya’s mother Kazumi Mishima plays an important role in the game as well. Tekken 7 will conclude the Mishima saga which means Tekken 8 (if it’s made) might focus on new characters instead.
Bandai Namco has promised Tekken 7 will still be playable for beginners, yet deep enough for hardcore gamers to sink their teeth into.
Tekken 7′s director Katsuhiro Harada confirmed the following in a Twitter message he sent out earlier today.
“That’s right. Easy for beginners but deep for core players. It’s very difficult balance but we should do that”
The Tekken games have always been a series loved by millions of gamers of all skill types. There are characters that suit beginners more than others. It’s a series that button mashers can easily play, yet there are complex combos and juggles that hardcore gamers can learn too.
Tekken 7 might still have the same control scheme so people familiar with the series won’t have to relearn everything. Some people argued the juggling was too much in Tekken Tag Tournament 2, but Harada stressed he’s listening to all type of feedback.
Harada has been very responsive on his Twitter account answering many fans’ questions about Tekken 7. If you want something improved in the series, you could message him and he might answer you. Bandai Namco is determined to make the game the biggest and best they’ve ever released.
Tekken 7 is expected for release sometime next year.

Tekken 7's Novel Feature
Tekken 7 has a novel feature: both players can fight on the left (or right)[Via.]
Until access to the Internet became a standard feature we all expect on a home console, playing 2-player in a fighting game meant going to visit a friend or visiting an arcade. But now we can fight each other online from the comfort of our homes, and Bandai Namco Games has realized that allows them to fix an issue you may have never thought solvable.
So what is that issue? Deciding which side of the screen to play on. Until now it has been typical for player one to be default to the left side of the screen, meaning player two is on the right. That can count as
